Asalaamu alaikoum

Nice post, masha'Allah. I love the connection with the blanket and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasalam seeking comfort.

I have a majorly (hyper?) active boy and he is sensory-seeking. He prefers strong hugs, playing rough etc. The first thing I thought of, which is off topic, are the activities that are used by behavioural therapists to help kids with sensory processing disorders.

They use weighted blankets and it's soothing to the kids.
Like this: <a href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002518JWI?tag=wwwbythemorni-20&camp=213381&creative=390973&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B002518JWI&adid=1EB1XNS7H5JJDNX6CXM4" title="Weighted Blanket" rel="nofollow">

I should seriously consider getting one for home-use. He'd love it.
JazakAllahukhairn!

Subhanallah I can only imagine what it must be like to not be able to fast. May Allah reward you for the intention, ameen. My mother takes her meds during suhoor and right after iftar. But the meds were always taken in the morning and evening alhamdulillah, so it wasn't really an issue. Keep up the posts sister.
