How this Craziness Can and Will Keep Your Sanity
No, that’s not a pic of me but I do want those shades.
I’m amazed when I think about Ayub alayhi asalaam.
His illness was worse than any pain we’ve gone through. It was also kinda yucky because he had these body sores with worms.
Do you think he used squirm at the sight of these worms? No. Not quite.
He, alayhi asalaam, used to actually say alhumdulillah for creating the worms. Bewildering…
Can you imagine saying alhumdulillah when you haven’t slept properly for the past month?
Can you imagine saying alhumdulillah when you’re being dragged by the paramedics?
Is it really possible to have a smile during the down times?
Yes. You can have your “alhumdulillah” moment, even during the darkest mental breakdown.
Here’s how in 2 simple ways:
1. Mental Illnesses force you to be your best.
And if you don’t live at level best, the illness will keep pushing, shoving and even making you crash and burn till you learn the lesson and move on.
So this craziness can push and will probably push you to the low point where you have no choice but to say لا إله إلاَّ الله and climb up. That’s where you reach the alhumdulillah moments.
2. Bipolar blogging or babbling, both can boost your iman.
As you open up about your condition, you’re bound to meet different people with the same woes. Cool thing is, when you meet them you realize “hey, it’s not so bad. I can handle this craziness.”
And that’s not to use others to feel good about yourself. It’s about saying alhumdulillah.
It’s about realizing that even if we have the toughest illness, the yuckiest medication, the craziest brain, the worst relationships, we have the best faith and the Most-Merciful Lord.

What a blessing to be driven to be your best while others are drown in heedlessness. Alhamdoulilai!
